Toronto FC have climbed back into seventh in the Eastern Conference by snatching victory from the Montreal Impact, 2-1 at BMO Field on Saturday.
The first half was a boring affair, with the game lacking any creative spark from either side. There were some heated moments, and Bacary Sagna maybe should’ve been sent off at one point for chopping down a clear TFC attack, but nothing to write home about.
The next 45 minutes were a different story. Greg Vanney brought on Alejandro Pozuelo to inject some life into his squad, but the immediate response from Montreal was concerning.
