I’m usually not surprised when Sebastian Giovinco is voted man of the match, but I kind of am this time. The Atomic Ant won the poll from Toronto FC’s 2-2 draw with the Chicago Fire with a narrow margin over Victor Vazquez, after a game in which he assisted a goal by Jonathan Osorio and had one of his own disallowed for offside.
The player I personally would’ve picked as man of the match, Alex Bono, finished third. Bono made six saves, including one on a penalty and another in utter desperation off the goal line.
