Friday’s loss to FC Dallas was not a pretty one for Toronto FC. They were frustrated in front of goal all night, and the defence broke down just enough to allow the visitors to score their winner. For that reason, fan voting did not look kindly on a lot of TFC’s players, including Sebastian Giovinco (who missed a penalty, again) and Michael Bradley (who, playing at centre-back, was burned on the goal).
That said, it wasn’t all bad. In order to struggle with finishing, you have to actually have opportunities. A large part of the reason TFC had so many shots was Auro’s work down the right flank.
