TORONTO, Canada—Toronto FC announced today that the team has learned Ralph Priso will undergo surgery on his right ankle and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2021 MLS season.
While chasing down New England Revolution attacker Gustavo Bou, Priso was injured in the second half of Toronto FC’s game with the New England Revolution on Saturday, August 14th at BMO Field. The play should have been blown down immediately for offside — as it appeared to be clear and obvious — however, with new rules implemented that instruct linesmen to wait until an attack plays out on close calls, the play was allowed to carry on, and in turn, Priso would find himself injured.
