Toronto FC announced this morning that they've officially added American striker Terrence Boyd, after about a week or so of rumours. The 27-year-old has played in Germany’s second flight the past three seasons with SV Darmstadt 98, with five goals in 44 appearances.
Boyd has also featured for the U.S men’s national team on several occasions, with 14 caps to his name.
The Reds, who lost a good deal of their attacking depth this off-season with the departures of Tosaint Ricketts and Lucas Janson (and Sebastian Giovinco, obviously), have likely brought in Boyd to help bolster their options up front — not necessarily to have him start every day.
