Toronto FC announced on Tuesday that they’ve signed 18-year-old midfielder Noble Okello to a first team contract, making him the club’s 19th academy player to sign with the MLS team.
Okello spent most of 2018 in USL with Toronto FC II, making 22 appearances, after primarily playing in League1 Ontario with TFC III for two years before. He accompanied the first team at their training camp last year, ahead of the 2018 season, but did not receive his MLS deal then.
He has represented Canada at the U17, U20, and U23 levels, including at the 2018 Toulon Tournament and the Concacaf U20 Championship.
