This week was a crazy one for MLS. The American Independence Day saw a large number of matches midweek. For the sake of your time, I’ll just be covering this weekend’s matches. A big rivalry game and a Zlatan penalty goal gave MLS excitement that rivaled the World Cup.

Atlanta continued their domination this weekend, taking the Union down 2-0. The Union put up a fight, putting more shots toward goal than United, but couldn’t get any past keeper Brad Guzan. Josef Martinez scored on a penalty at 58’, putting Atlanta on the board.
