The first domino expected to fall in Toronto FC’s off-season plans will be a big one, but the Reds are confident that signing captain Michael Bradley won’t require a Herculean effort.
The club gathered for its annual year-end availability Wednesday at its training ground, three days after losing the MLS Cup final to the Seattle Sounders. The belief is that this team is built to reach more finals, although Toronto’s brass admits doing so will mean keeping the core of this year’s team together and bolstering it with a few key additions. The first order of business is Bradley, who has spent the last six years as one of the Reds’ three designated players.
