MLS players have ratified a new collective agreement, paving the way for the league to return to play.
The MLS Players Association confirmed the vote on the deal, which will run through the 2025 season. The sides reached an agreement in February that went through 2024, but it was never ratified.
No further details were released. MLS commissioner Don Garber was scheduled to speak later Wednesday.
The MLS season has been on hold since March 12 during the pandemic.
On Sunday night, the players association announced its membership had approved a package for the 2020 season including salary reductions and additional concessions.
