Toronto FC striker Jozy Altidore thinks he will need “a little bit of a miracle” if he is to play in Sunday’s MLS Cup final against the Seattle Sounders.
The forward said Monday he was feeling “better and better” after suffering a quadriceps strain in a win over Columbus Crew on Oct. 6, the final game of the regular season. But he downplayed the likelihood he would play a part in Toronto’s third final in four years.
“That’s where I am and I’ve just got to try to keep trying to get myself there,” Altidore said.
