Toronto FC have proven to be good under pressure. The Concacaf Champions League campaign, last year’s playoffs, even the Voyageurs Cup. When there is a must win game Toronto FC almost always comes out on top.
They probably didn’t expect to be playing pressure packed games this early in the MLS season, though. After emerging from the gauntlet that was the CCL, the reds are now arguably fighting for their playoff lives in mid-May.
It is too early to panic, and there have been a lot of overreactions to this run by fans who rightly expect a higher standard than the club has shown of late.
