When Toronto FC announced its roster for the next part of pre-season training in Austin, Texas on Monday, it marked the end of an era for the Reds.
Neither Jozy Altidore nor Sebastian Giovinco were included for the first time in more than seven years. Both players are reportedly closing in on deals outside of Toronto, setting the stage for final goodbyes to two club legends.
The strikers signed as designated players within four days of each other in January 2015. Giovinco left four years later, but Altidore remained, signing a three-year extension with the Reds.
