TORONTO, Canada—Actually?
Major League Soccer announced Sunday morning that the Toronto FC - D.C. United match has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
“Under the league’s health and safety protocols, clubs are tested the day before each match,” the league wrote in a press release. “The results of yesterday’s tests for D.C. United and Toronto FC produced an initial unconfirmed positive COVID-19 case for one player and an inconclusive case for another player.”
After two worrying tests, this afternoon, those re-tests have reportedly come back negative, paving the way for both teams to continue as per norm.
