The 20-year-old Toronto native has failed to feature much for Rangers this season, and will now get a chance for more playing time in his home country.
Fraser Aird has become the latest Canadian international to find a new club during the winter transfer window. The 20-year-old will join the Vancouver Whitecaps on loan, the club announced today. The loan is season-long from Glascow Rangers of the Scottish Premier League, and also has the option for a permanent transfer should the young Canadian impress in British Columbia.
While one of Aird's assets for Vancouver is the fact that he can play multiple positions, it is likely that he has been brought in to fill the hole left at right back.
