After captaining Canada to a 6-0 win over Cuba in their first ever Concacaf Nations League A game, Junior Hoilett has left camp. The winger, who scored a hat-trick during Saturday’s match, has returned to England for family reasons according to Canada Soccer.
Russell Teibert and Max Crepeau will also not be available for Tuesday’s away match after suffering minor injuries. Montreal Impact goalkeeper James Pantemis has been called up as a replacement for Crepeau.
There is no word yet as to whether Teibert or Hoilett will be replaced, although Canada is fairly deep already in both the midfield and winger positions.
