TORONTO, Canada—38 year old Atiba Hutchinson is the gift that keeps on giving.
On Thursday evening during Canada’s 5-1 win over Bermuda, the veteran midfielder moved into sole possession of second all-time in international ‘A’ appearances made for the Canadian men’s national team, passing current York9 assistant and Canada Soccer legend Paul Stalteri.
Hutchinson would play the full 90 minutes, helping lead the red-and-white to victory.
The appearance was Hutchinson’s 85th in a Canadian kit—and his 12th time captaining the squad. He is now just four appearances back of tying Julian De Guzman’s all-time record.
