Armando Cooper made a 20-minute appearance as a substitute as Panama got off to an excellent start at the Gold Cup by drawing 1-1 with the USA.
Cooper replaced Miguel Camargo in midfield just over 10 minutes after the New York City FC player had equalized for the underdogs.
Dom Dwyer had given an unconvincing USA side a first-half lead by converting a low ball into the box supplied by Kelyn Rowe.
There was to be no late cameo for Morrow, though, as Bruce Arena threw on three forwards in search of a winner.
