Altidore and Giovinco return to TFC duty with future cloudy

It was a bittersweet return to the BMO Training Ground for Jozy Altidore this week.

The good news is that the 29-year-old American striker is raring to get back on the field, little more than 11 weeks after he was shut down by season-ending surgery to remove a bone fragment from his right ankle.

Toronto FCu2019s Sebastian Giovinco, Victor Vazquez, Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley earned an MLS championship parade in 2017. On Tuesday, TFC announced Vazquez will leave to play in Qatar. The other three stars are heading into contract years.

The bad news is that he has just one year left on his contract with Toronto FC, and no extension in sight.
