TORONTO, Canada—Canada Soccer released its roster for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Qualifiers today—and it’s all essentially all hands on deck for the men’s national team.
Called into the squad is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, Besiktas’ Cyle Larin and Atiba Hutchinson, Charlton Athletic’s Liam Millar, and many other notable names.
There are two Toronto FC players included in the squad: Richie Laryea and Jayden Nelson.
“We want to ensure that our best players wear the red shirt and represent Canada because those players want to change the sport in our country by qualifying for the FIFA World Cup™,” said John Herdman, Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team Head Coach, in a press release back in February.
