Watch: Jays' Bautista celebrates with backwards home-run trot

First there was the bat flip heard round the world.

Now, Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista has added another juicy chapter to his book of emotional (cocky?) home-run reactions.

After launching a game-tying solo home run with one out in the ninth inning Thursday against the Seattle Mariners, Bautista playfully skipped towards first base ... backwards.

As he watched the flight of the ball to see if it would stay fair — or admire it, depending on perspective — Bautista backpedaled up the line before reverting to his more familiar home-run trot. There was even a mini-bat flip as he left the batter’s box.
