SARASOTA, Fla. -- The future of the Blue Jays' organization was on full display in Thursday's 9-3 win over the Orioles, as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette made their Grapefruit League season debuts.
Toronto's top two prospects received a one-day reprieve from Minor League camp to join some of their future teammates on the big league side. Guerrero got the start at designated hitter and went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, while Bichette entered in the third inning and finished with a pair of RBI singles.
The Blue Jays made a somewhat-surprising decision by not inviting either of their prized assets to Major League Spring Training.
