ARLINGTON -- Troy Tulowitzki came through when the Blue Jays needed him most on Sunday with a three-run homer in the top of the sixth inning that saved Toronto from missing out on yet another golden opportunity in Game 3 of the best-of-five American League Division Series.
Tulowitzki was 0-for-11 with a walk in the ALDS against the Rangers until his timely home run. It was the first time he went deep since Sept. 6 and this one was easily his biggest in a Toronto uniform.
The Blue Jays began the sixth by loading the bases with nobody out, but they were at risk of letting Texas off the hook when Chris Colabello hit a sharp ground ball to first base.
