Tulo returns to Blue Jays' lineup vs. Rays

ST. PETERSBURG -- Troy Tulowitzki took part in a simulated game on Friday afternoon and declared himself ready to return to the Blue Jays' lineup.

Manager John Gibbons must have agreed, because Tulowitzki was back in the starting lineup at shortstop and batting seventh for Toronto vs. the Rays on Friday night.

Tulowitzki took a total of six at-bats against three pitchers: No. 1 starter David Price, 2015 No. 1 Draft pick Jon Harris and eighth-round pick Daniel Young. With no fielders, it's impossible to predict exactly how Tulowitzki did, but best estimates were that he finished 3-for-6, with two doubles, a homer and a walk.
