The young infielder extended his brief hit streak to four games with a second-inning double. He also had an RBI double in the first game of this four-game series in Houston.
He's been batting leadoff since Jose Reyes went to the disabled list with a cracked rib on April 27. Manager John Gibbons said prior to Saturday's game that he liked Travis' contributions there and wanted to find a logical spot for the second baseman in the back half of the order when Reyes returns in the coming weeks.
