NEW YORK -- The Blue Jays still don't know when Devon Travis will be activated from the 15-day disabled list, but a return at some point next week has been all but officially ruled out.
Toronto manager John Gibbons admitted on Saturday morning that Travis' rehab from a strained left shoulder has not gone as smoothly as originally anticipated. He's felt continued discomfort in the area, and it's not immediately clear when Travis will be able to begin a rehab assignment.
The 24-year-old is technically eligible to come off the DL on Thursday. While that was the original plan, it's not going to happen quite that fast.
