According to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet, who spoke with him in Surprise, Arizona, potential Blue Jays managerial candidate Stubby Clapp hasn’t heard anything directly from the front office in Toronto.
Clapp, currently the manager of the Surprise Saguaros, the Arizona Fall League that features some of the Blue Jays’ brightest prospects, had this to say about the rumours:
“I haven’t heard anything from Toronto. It’s been all rumours. Honestly, I’m taking it day by day, I’m worried about these guys here and if it happens, if there’s an opportunity to get an interview or something like that, great, I’d be excited to do something like that.
