PHILADELPHIA - One of Alex Anthopoulos’ pet topics during spring training each year is that the Blue Jays’ opening-day roster will look nothing like the roster by the end of the season.
Players get hurt, players under-perform, trades are made, players become available through waivers. Stuff happens and players — all but the stars — get shuffled around.
Nowhere is this more apparent than in the Jays bullpen which, at the start of the season, was a sea of red flags and question marks. A perceived strength it was not.
Now, however, it is definitely one of the club’s strengths.
