What do we make of Nick Allgeyer? In his first two starts of the season Allgeyer had a 1.50 ERA with twin six inning starts with just one run allowed in each. That earned Allgeyer a call-up to the big leagues where we know he didn't appear. Back to AAA then and in three games since his return Allgeyer has conceded eleven runs in 10.1 innings. He has gone from major league potential to just hanging on in the AAA rotation. Allgeyer is probably not as good as he was in the first two games, nor as bad as he has been recently.
