Suspensions handed down: Blue Jays’ Gibbons gets three

The suspensions stemming from Sunday’s brawl in Texas have begun with Toronto manager John Gibbons and Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons has received a three-game ban for returning to the field after being ejected earlier in the game. Gibbons’ qualifies as a “past offender” here as he has received a one-game suspension for the same type of incident in the past.

The Blue Jays have fielded a normal roster tonight, however, so it appears that if any suspensions have been handed down to players, that they are being appealed.
