TORONTO -- Marcus Stroman displayed once again why he is a reigning Gold Glove Award winner by showing off his athleticism during Sunday's game against the Yankees.
In the top of the second inning, Tyler Wade hit a sharp grounder to first base that bounced off the glove of Justin Smoak and ricocheted towards Devon Travis at second. Travis reacted quickly, but it was the quick instincts from Stroman that helped Toronto record the out.
Stroman did not hesitate after Wade made contact, and his ability to beat the runner to first allowed the Blue Jays to record the quirky putout.
