TORONTO -- The Blue Jays were no-hit for the first time in seven years on Tuesday night, and it was one of their former first-round Draft picks who did it.
Mariners lefty James Paxton became the second Canadian-born pitcher in Major League history to toss a no-hitter in Seattle's 5-0 victory over the Blue Jays. Paxton recorded the third no-hitter in Rogers Centre history and the first since Detroit's Justin Verlander on May 7, 2011.
Paxton walked three and struck out seven while completing the fifth no-hitter in Mariners franchise history.
