Minor League right-handers Jeff Hoffman and Miguel Castro as well as one other prospect will head from Toronto to Colorado, according to reports by CBS Sports' Jon Heyman and the Toronto Sun's Bob Elliott. Multiple reports stated that no money would be transfered as part of the deal. At the time of the trade, Hoffman, the ninth overall pick in the 2014 Draft, was ranked by MLBPipeline.com as Toronto's No. 3 prospect, and Castro was ranked No. 5.
The move is a major financial commitment for the Blue Jays, with Tulowitzki signed to a guaranteed deal through the 2020 season.
