Saunders, Delabar reportedly ink 1-year deals

The Blue Jays reportedly agreed to one-year contracts with two of their arbitration-eligible players ahead of Friday's 1 p.m. ET deadline for exchanging salary figures. Outfielder Michael Saunders will sign for $2.9 million, while Steve Delabar will sign for $835,000, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman, though the club has not confirmed either deal.

Saunders, in his third and final season of arbitration eligibility, made $2.875 million in 2015. Toronto acquired him from Seattle last winter, but the 29-year-old missed all but nine games with left knee problems. Saunders had batted .248/.320/.423 with 39 home runs over the three previous seasons for the Mariners.
