Runaway train keeps rolling as Jays win 11th in a row

TORONTO - That runaway train otherwise known as the Toronto Blue Jays is showing no signs of slowing down.

Win No. 11 in a row, the second 11-game winning streak this year, was a mostly tidy 4-2 win over the Oakland A’s on Thursday, completing a three-game sweep of Josh Donaldson’s former team before a sell-out crowd of 46,902 at the Rogers Centre.

It marked the seventh sellout of the year for the Jays and, based on recent events, likely not the last.

Toronto starter Mark Buehrle, who was a little banged up after his most recent start, got two extra days rest and was sharp over seven innings and deserved a better fate than what he got in the eighth.
