TORONTO - Jose Reyes and April are not a good fit.
The Blue Jays oft-injured shortstop has been feeling discomfort in his left side since last Friday and now, at last, the reason has been revealed. He has a cracked rib.
The injury is not severe enough to place Reyes on the disabled list, though. At least not yet.
The plan is for him to sit it out this weekend, miss all three games against the Atlanta Braves, do nothing on Monday’s off day and see how it feels Tuesday.
The loss of Reyes mirrors the Jays fortune of late.
