Return of Reyes a 'real spark' for Blue Jays

SS Jose Reyes was back in the lineup for the first time since April 28, his fractured left rib and muscle strain that had him on the disabled list hopefully a thing of the past.

To make room for Reyes, Munenori Kawasaki was optioned back to triple-A Buffalo.

Manager John Gibbons was pleased to be able to write his name in the lineup as his leadoff hitter.

“It’s good to see him, yeah,” Gibbons said. “He’ll be a real spark, he’s got that knack. He feels good, he’s ready to go.”
