Reports: Mets, Colon agree to one-year deal

Ageless right-hander Bartolo Colon will be back with the New York Mets next season after a deal was struck on a one-year, $7.25 million contract, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.

Colon, who will turn 43 in May, started the 2014 opener for the Mets and finished with a 14-13 record and a 4.16 ERA in a career-high 194 2/3 innings. He was 8-3 after two months of the season, which ended with Colon making it to the World Series for the first time in his career.

In the postseason, Colon didn't start a game but pitched seven times in relief and took the loss in the Series opener against the Kansas City Royals.
