Questions swirl over health of Blue Jays' Jose Bautista

In Blue Jays land when it comes to Jose Bautista and his injured right shoulder, nobody seems to have a clue.

Not manager John Gibbons and not Bautista.

The day after the Jays slugger had a cortisone shot to his right shoulder in the hope of jump-starting a recovery, Bautista was on hand to answer questions. At the end of the session, there was no clarity, just more questions.

In general, things seem to be getting worse and not better, which was the reason for the cortisone shot.

Why the shot at this time?

“The progression wasn’t going as I expected or as quick as I expected,” he said.
