KANSAS CITY - There was no bat to throw, no hot button topic for the talk shows, nothing to argue or debate about.
Just a middle finger to worry about now: And not that kind of middle finger.
The Blue Jays went rather tamely and quietly in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, with the Kansas City Royals being the better team in every conceivable category.
But the real concern now — as if the Jays needed any more concerns — is the health of slugger Edwin Encarnacion, the glue power-hitter who left Game 1 with the same problematic middle finger on the left hand that has been plaguing him for days.
