Despite losses in five of his previous six outings, Marco Estrada and Blue Jays manager John Gibbons saw a lot of positive signs on Wednesday.
The Jays might have lost 8-1 to the Tampa Bay Rays, but Estrada looked a lot more comfortable for much of the outing than he has for quite some time.
“You could tell he was on,” Gibbons said. “He looked like he did the last couple of years which is encouraging. A good sign. Hopefully he can (keep pitching well) next time and we can do better with it.
