Pillar's homer powers Blue Jays past Royals

KANSAS CITY -- Kevin Pillar hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lift the Blue Jays to a 6-5 victory over the Royals on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

Toronto trailed, 5-4, when Pillar lined a Blaine Boyer pitch into the left-field stands. Tyler Clippard held the lead in the eighth and Ken Giles came on for his second save with the Blue Jays.
