Don Cherry says Pete Rose is a "cheap-shot-artist" and his “low blow” on Josh Donaldson is the all-time MLB hits leader’s worse-ever blight on the game.
And that is saying something since Pete Rose’s stain on the game is as legendary as was his incredible career.
But Cherry said Rose’s comments on American television about hometown hero Donaldson was beyond the pale.
“It’s the same kind of cheap shot he took on the catcher Ray Fosse in the 1970 All-Star Game,” said Grapes. “I am not going to talk about (Rose's ban from baseball because of gambling) because I always admired Pete as a player but I think this cheap shot.
