No complications for Jays' Saunders

Outfielder Michael Saunders, who injured his left knee and had cartilage surgically removed prior to the start of training camp this year, visited orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday to make sure there were no undetected complications in his recovery.

Saunders had come back from the injury in the last week of April but residual pain and swelling from a bone bruise at the site of the surgery forced him back to the DL on May 10. It is likely to be as much as another month before he’ll be ready to rejoin the club.
