The plan wasn’t a bad one.
The plan was to have Marco Estrada make his first of three to four starts, hold the fort while Daniel Norris worked out the kinks down at Buffalo.
Who knows, perhaps Estrada would pick up a win or two along the way.
While Norris has yet to make a start at Buffalo, Estrada gave it his all Tuesday night against the New York Yankees but unfortunately it wasn’t nearly good enough. The fort was breached.
It was the first start of the season for Estrada who has a history of bouncing back and forth between the bullpen and the rotation.
