TORONTO - Munenori Kawasaki has left the bush party.
Fox Sports' Jon Morosi reported early today that the beloved former Blue Jays' back-up middle infielder has signed a minor leage deal with the Chicago Cubs.
Kawasaki, whose enthusiasm caught on with both fans and his teammates throughout his tenure, capped off the Jays' AL East-clinching post-game celebration by expressing his desire to go to a "bush party."
The 34-year-old joined the Jays prior to the 2013 season after a one-year stint with the Seattle Mariners and more than a decade playing professional baseball in Japan.
