It's seeming less and less likely that Edwin Encarnacion will be running the bases in Toronto next season.
Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish and SB Nation reported Monday that Encarnacion and the Toronto Blue Jays aren't talking about a contract extension at this point in time.
Edwin Encarnacion on extension talks with Blue Jays: "Nothing. We don't talk anymore about that."
Encarnacion, 33, is set to become a free agent at the end of this season, along with teammate Jose Bautista. Encarnacion has had at least 34 home runs and 98 RBIs from 2012 to 2015 and is on pace for similar numbers in 2016.
