The Toronto Blue Jays are keeping their options open in determining their left fielder next season, leading to the team being linked to prominent free agent Angel Pagan.
MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm confirms that the Jays do indeed have interest in Pagan, but a deal between the sides appears unlikely.
"Toronto is committed to its current group of outfielders who are competing for time, and the organization doesn't want to interrupt that process by offering someone like Pagan a big league deal," Chisholm writes.
Pagan still being a free agent is a bit of a surprise, as the 35-year-old is coming off a solid season with the San Francisco Giants.
