TORONTO -- The Blue Jays made a last-minute change to their lineup prior to Sunday afternoon's series finale against the Athletics, scratching starting catcher Russell Martin and inserting backup Josh Thole into the lineup.
Martin left Friday's game against the A's in the sixth inning with neck spasms, but he did return on Saturday and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Toronto's 9-3 victory.
"I just felt like it's something that got progressively worse as the game went along," Martin said on Friday. "I felt it before going to the game. I didn't really say anything.
