Toronto Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman looked like one of the best pitchers in baseball after returning from a knee injury at the end of the 2015 season.
And he looks like one of the best in the game to start the 2016 season.
Stroman is the first Blue Jays pitcher to go at least eight innings on Opening Day since Pat Hentgen did against the White Sox in 1997. He tried but failed to become the first Blue Jays pitcher to throw a complete game in a season opener since Jack Morris did against the Tigers in 1992.
