Liriano in concussion protocol after scary injury

Toronto also received news on second baseman Devon Travis' balky right knee. An MRI showed no structural damage.

Prior to first pitch on Friday, Travis was scratched from the starting lineup.

Travis went 1-for-5 in Game 1 and hit .300 with 11 home runs and 50 RBIs in 101 games this season. He said he did not know how the injury occurred.

The Blue Jays have used Liriano, who posted a 2.92 ERA in 10 games (eight starts) after being acquired at the Trade Deadline, twice out of the bullpen in three games so far this postseason.
